Farmers are real actors of country. India is a country of farmers and
60% population of here are engaged in agriculture sectors and they move their
livelihood. But what is the real condition of farmers in the country. Our Prime
Minister
Mr. Lal Bahadur Shashtri jee has given us a slogan” Jai Jawan Jai
Kisaan”. But the growths of crops are going down day by day. The Government has
launched National Agriculture insurance scheme in which if the crops damage,
the farmers can claim insurance for their crops.

At the present time the national
insurance schemes has changed and now it is known by the Pradhan mantra phasal
Beema yozana and it is launched in 18 February 2016 by our Prime Minister
Narendar Modi. Generally farmers do not want take chance in the cropping wherefore
they never use new seeds in their fields since if the crops will damage, their
livelihood moves into problem and other side some farmers use their traditional
methods in farming.
The farmer borrow money from landlords and banks on the believe
of crops but when the crops will not be in their expectation, the couth in
debt. And became helpless to pay rent.

The national crime record bureau
of India (NCRB) reported that near about 296438 Indian farmers had committed
suicide since 1995. Maharashtra is at the first position in the farmer untimely
death matter. And this is reason from which many leaved the village and come to
city for livelihood and better future for their family.
India is known as a great country in the world. There is a lot of history to its greatness in the historical book but what is real condition of it at the present time. It is a democratic country and it provides equal rights to its citizens whether what may be their religion. Therefore it is a secular country.
There is a provision in Article number 15 in which it has mentioned that everyone has equal rights in all area. But even today the lowest caste of the country is isolated from the process of development. According to the recently survey there is 17% population of lower castes in India and it is talk about their assets and land. They have only 6% land and 2.6% assets in urban area. They share only 5% land in agriculture.
And between 2001 and 2013 Supreme Court had register about 54,257 cases of atrocities or 4174 cases annually. In the modern India what we can say that one part of society is fighting from poverty, how the country will develop.
