Mausam may be a mobile app which is launched by Union Minister for earth and science along side the knowledge resource centre for India meteorology department. IMD is founded in 1875 by the govt of India and it's a agency beyond Union Minister for earth and science along. The headquarter of IMD is found in New Delhi .
The main goal of ‘Mausam’ mobile app is to speak the weather information and forecast to public in lucid manner without technical jargon. This mobile app has the subsequent 5 services.
1- Current weather
2- Nowcast
3- City forecast
4- Warning
5- Radar products.
Current weather
Mausam app will inform about the present weather to related area to public like rain, temperature, cold etc.
Nowcast
it's meteorology on a really short term mesoscale of up to 2 hours consistent with world meteorological organization.
Warning
It warns about rainfall, temperature in subdivision Wise. Districts wise and station knowing public.
City forecast
City forecast informs about city temperature of the day and night of city.
Radar Products.
It shows the evolution of weather and calculates the motion of rain, snow, hail etc. it's also known by weather surveillance radar.
Ministry of natural science aim to develop a world class knowledge resource center Network thereunder , the normal libraries of the MoES system are going to be upgraded into a top network knowledge resource. it'll be beneficial with earth other and integrated into the KRCNet portal.
